Dear Parents,


We have compiled 3 useful ed-tech tools that you can carry out with your child. These are educational websites with games, ABCya, iWriteWords for writing and Endless Alphabets for reading. You can use these resources to support and enhance your child’s literacy learning. Please feel free to browse through these resources and try them out with your child!

ABCYa (Preschool to Kindergarten)

ABCya.com is a website that provides educational games and activities for school-aged children from Pre-K all the way to Grade 6 and more. This website has a variety of different topics for children to learn about through many games that are separated by subject, genre, and theme. ABCya is an educational website that does not include assessments or progress tracking, it is solely for children to practice their literacy skills.


iWriteWords (Handwriting Game) (3- to 6-year-old)

This application can be found on the App Store available on Apple devices. We recommend that you and your child engage with this application on an IPad as the screen is bigger and hence, easier for you and your child to navigate through the app.

iWriteWords is an application that teaches and allows your child to practice their handwriting while playing a fun and entertaining game. This app includes numbers for your child to follow in sequence of how they should write out the letter – beginning from 1 and following all the way to number 7. It reinforces users to try again if they attempt the answers wrongly. The app also includes positive affirmations like “good try!” to encourage your child to continue trying.


Endless Alphabets (Reading) (4- to- 10-year-old)

Endless Alphabets is an interactive app that includes interactive spelling puzzles for your child to complete. Users can learn words and build their vocabulary. A group of friendly monsters act out the definitions of each word once the users spell it properly. The app is designed with delightful and animated monsters that illustrate and reinforce word definitions which would attract children’s attention to the app. It includes over 70 interesting words for children to learn and play with.
